Bill Fox, the former head of the mysterious "Area 51," and a project coordinator at the famed Lockheed Skunkworks, made a post-Christmas visit to the Inn during December of 2004. | |||||||||||||||||
| Bill was instrumental in the development of the SR-71 Blackbird -- the world's fastest air-breathing aircraft -- as well as the famed U-2 spyplane. | While in Iowa city, he enjoyed a couple of nights in "his" suite, and kindly spent many hours in conversation, patiently explaining (for the umpteenth time, I'm sure) the awesome capabilities of the Blackbird. | ||||||||||||||||||
