University Discounts
Subtract 17% off open suites, and 30% off all other suites, when proof of affiliation with the University of Iowa or any other Big Ten University is presented at check-in.

"Affiliation" with the University of Iowa means that you are faculty, staff, student, or alumnus. "Affiliation" with another Big Ten University means that you are faculty or staff. Not available on special event weekends.

Group Discounts

Hospital Discounts

Guests with proof of a medical condition that requires an overnight stay at any local hospital, either for themselves or for a family member, are eligible to receive our hospital discount. This discount ranges from 30% to 40%, depending on the suite selected. Not available through on-line booking, or on special event weekends.

Cancellation Policies

Standard Stay - We require 72-hours notice of cancellation for any non-special event stay. Any reservation cancelled inside the 72-hour period will result in the forfeiture of the first three days stay. Early check-outs will be charged for the remainder of their reserved stay, up to a maximum of 72 hours, and will be treated the same as any other cancellation.

Special Event Stay -- We require seven (7) days notice of reservation cancellation for special event stays. Any reservations cancelled inside the seven day period will result in forfeiture of the entire stay. Reservations made inside the last 7 days before a special event cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable.

Definition of a Special Event -- A special event includes, but is not limited to:

- University of Iowa home football game weekends (2-night minimum stay)

- University of Iowa Spring and Fall graduation (2-night minimum stay)

- New Year's Eve

- Valentine's Day

No single person or group may book more than two (2) suites for any single special event.

Fly-In Guest Stays - Individuals piloting their own planes are eligible for our "IFR Cancellation Policy", which allows canceling up until 6 PM the night of your stay -- without penalty -- IF conditions along your route of flight drop below VFR minimum visibility and/or ceiling. Cancellations received after 6 PM result in forfeiture of one (1) night's stay. Not available on special event weekends.

Group Fly-Ins -- The IFR cancellation policy is not allowed for groups of three (3) or more fly-in guests. The Standard Stay (72 hour) cancellation policy will be enforced.

Long Term Stays - Long term corporate stays are any reservation of 30 days or longer. We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve all long-term stays. Because we only reserve our corporate suites for 30 days or longer, no refunds on monthly payments will be made for any reason. After occupancy, a 30-day notice is required to reduce the agreed upon duration of your stay. Extension of your stay is usually available, but is dependent upon availability.

Payment Policy

Because everything is included in the daily rate, and in order to make check-out painless and quick, all guests pay at check in.

If you are staying for multiple days, and are not sure of your departure date, please let us know at check-in and we will be glad to charge you day-by-day.

We accept cash, Mastercard, Visa and Discover credit cards, and personal checks.

Refund Policy

We strive to make your stay perfect, and will not settle for anything less. Every effort will be made to make your stay with us the best hotel visit of your life. Jay, Mary, and the entire staff will do whatever it takes to make your visit to the Alexis Park Inn & Suites memorable and enjoyable.

In exchange for this commitment, we expect only one thing: That you will pay what you have agreed to pay. No refunds will be issued. Certificates good for free or discounted nights may be made available in the event of unforeseen events that may interfere with your stay. (Example: A power outage, or other act of God that could possibly interfere with your enjoyment.)
