2005 Game Day
No, this isn't a review of the game. Rather, it's photos of the Iowa City airport ramp taken just prior to the start of the Michigan vs. Iowa home football game on Saturday, October 22, 2005. .
There is nothing quite like a Big Ten football game in the fall. Every 24 months, fans and alumnus from both schools flock back to Kinnick Stadium for the Michigan game. Tens of thousands of fans descend upon Iowa City, and for 48 hours the city's population TRIPLES.
It's a huge rivalry that attracts the biggest spenders -- and they bring their cool airplanes in from all over. Everything from a Piaggio Avanti to a P-51 Mustang -- and everything in between -- can be found in Iowa City on any given game day!
