2007 Blakesburg Fly-In
Each year, for over 50 years, the Antique
Aircraft Association has held their annual fly-in on a private grass strip
near Blakesburg, Iowa. This idyllic setting is the perfect
canvas upon which to paint Golden Age and classic biplanes and monoplanes --
and they come by the hundreds!
This year we were blessed with picture-perfect
weather, with low humidity, and temperatures in the low 80s. The
sun truly shone down on this event, and -- although we were only able to
attend for 8 hours -- we once again got our "fix" of Blakesburg for the
year!
