Cadet O Flights

The Hawkeye Squadron participated in CAP orientation flights at the Iowa City Airport. 
 
Despite some confusion (the pilots -- both from out of the area -- didn't know the location of the  Eastern Iowa Pilot's Association hangar), paperwork glitches (the Cadets were supposed to have Cap Form ?? filled out before their flights), and two cadets who forgot their CAP ID cards (and were thus not allowed to fly aboard CAP aircraft), a good and educational evening was had by all.  
 
When it became apparent that Cadets Creighton and Honeck would be left on the ground, it was decided to take them flying in 2d Lt Jay Honeck's aircraft as an EAA "Young Eagle Flight" -- completely separate from a CAP operation.  Thus, all cadets were able to fly, and received a fantastic taste of aviation.
 
Best of all, the weather cooperated, rendering a perfect evening for  flying.  Click on the thumbnails, below, to see larger pictures:
