On September 19, 2006, we were awarded the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce' "Innovative Business Award" -- an award that recognizes business people who have taken a unique or innovative approach to success with their business model.

This award has special meaning for us, as it represents a unique peer recognition from our fellow business owners -- generally a pretty tough crowd to impress!  

As anyone who knows us will attest, however, we are unique in what we do -- our hotel is unlike any we've ever found, anywhere -- and we were tickled to be able to show off our facility to the many folks who turned out for the event.   After some speechifying and refreshments, we spent the morning giving tours of our aviation theme suites, workout room, pool area, massage therapist's office, lobby and pilot's lounge.
