Iowa City Pool Party Each year, on the Saturday before Oshkosh AirVenture (the largest aviation celebration in the world), we throw a party at poolside for all pilots and aviation enthusiasts at the hotel! Free beverages, snacks, food, and music are provided -- all served at poolside! Were located adjacent to Runway 25 at the Iowa City Airport, and will be providing FREE transportation to and from the airport all day long. You and your family are invited to join in the Pre-Oshkosh festivities, so bring your swim suits! (And enjoy our FBOs 25 cent-per-gallon fuel discount during Oshkosh week, too!) Why? Its just our way of thanking the pilot community for another great year as the only aviation-themed hotel in the Midwest. Then, on Sunday morning (not TOO early) any pilots interested in flying into Airventure will be welcome to join us in a loose gaggle flight through the Fisk Arrival into Oshkosh! Some years we have three planes, other years more, but its always an educational experience. If youve never flown into Oshkosh -- the busiest airspace in the world it certainly helps to harness the experience of those who have, and its fun, too! |
