Newsgroup Parties
We hosted two parties for Oshkosh '04 -- one at the hotel pool (actually for all pilots en route to Oshkosh), and one at our North 40 campsite, exclusively for participants in the aviation newsgroups. In an incredible oversight, I forgot my camera the day of the pool party -- so no visual record of that event exists (probably a good thing!) -- although I took pictures of some folks the day after the party. These can be seen in the first eight pictures, below. But the pictures were many and excellent at our campsite party, as can be seen, below. (Many of these images were taken by John Ousterhout -- thanks, John!) A million thanks go to Paul "Montblack" Montgomery -- who drove his minivan all the way from Minnesota packed with grills, chairs, tables, and enough food for an army -- because of him the party was an incredible success! We'll see you all again next year, God willin' and the creek don't rise...
