| There are only seven original air mail hangars still standing in the United States. | |
| Of those, just two were built by Boeing Air Transport: | |
| 1. Iowa City, Iowa. | |
| 2. Cheyenne, Wyoming. This one is already on the National Register of Historic Places.. | |
| The five others were built by the Post Office, and include: | |
| 1. Chrissy Field, San Francisco -- Currently at the Presidio. | |
| 2. Elko, Nevada | |
| 3. Omaha, Nebraska -- Currently Offutt Air Force Base, which is named after an air mail pilot who was killed in an early accident. | |
| 4. Rock Springs, Wyoming -- This one was physically picked up and moved across the airport in the 1940s. | |
