On a gorgeous Spring afternoon in April, we flew up to Oshkosh, WI, to join our friends Jim, Tami, Nick & Megan Burns at the EAA Museum, located on Wittman Field.
Since we usually fly there during the madness known as "AirVenture", held the last week of July (the largest airshow/fly-in in the world), it was a real treat to be able to slowly wander the mostly-empty museum, taking in the sights and sounds at our leisure. And "Friar Tuck's" restaurant -- normally packed to the rafters -- was positively empty!
For those who ONLY get to see Oshkosh during the fly-in, the pictures of the flight line -- a bee-hive of activity during AirVenture -- will be shocking. It's so peaceful the other 50 weeks per year!
