Oshkosh in Winter 2004

In December of 2004, we needed a break.  With weather dictating our course, we realized our best bet for a quick getaway flight was to head East.

But where?

Upon reflection, Oshkosh -- our summer destination for 22 consecutive years -- sounded like a good bet.  With a world-class museum, excellent restaurants, a great airport, and great off-season rates at the Hilton, it was a logical destination.

For those who have only seen Oshkosh under a blazing July sun, these pictures give you some idea of the weather extremes in Wisconsin.  During our visit the temperature hovered around zero degrees Fahrenheit, and six inches of fresh snow had just fallen.

Enjoy!
