Pool Party!
Our Third Annual Fly-In Pool Party was a roaring success, thanks to good VFR weather overhead, bad VFR weather to the east, and temperatures approaching 100 degrees. For once, the pool was more than a pretty back-drop, and EVERYONE was in the pool! Because it's designed for pilots en route to OSH (as well as overnight guests), we started cooking at noon -- and didn't stop till 8 PM that night! With a steady trickle of drop-ins throughout the day, and a pretty good dinner crowd, we ended up making many shuttle runs to the airport, ultimately serving dozens of pilots and guests. Best of all, we got to see John Osterhout and Jim Weir do a DOUBLE cannon-ball into the pool! (And, yes, we DID have to add water the next day...) Here are some pix from the day:
