Seaplane Base
Every year we try to escape the hot, dusty flight line for a day, and head over to the EAA's Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago. The kids can swim, and the pace is way slower than the hectic, frenetic style on Wittman Field.
As can be seen, below, this short journey is like stepping from a desert onto a tropical island. In fact, the two venues are so different that it truly feels like an entirely different event.
