Wednesday dawned clear, but with the threat of developing thunderstorms along our entire route of flight.  Thus, although we briefly entertained the notion of stopping in Ohio to let the kids have a day at the Cedar Point theme park, we decided to press on to Frederick, MD -- just 20 minutes from Dulles International, where the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center is located.

Once in Frederick, we received a tour of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association headquarters (located on the field) and hooked up with Julie Boatman and her husband, Mike, for dinner.
